A Season of Violence

The good news for Pittsburgh is: our property crimes are acually declining at a rate significantly more than the national average.
The bad news for Pittsburgh: rape and murder are on the rise.

According to the statastics available online from the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police (http://www.city.pittsburgh.pa.us/police/html/crime_stats.html), last year Alleghany county police investigated 273 rapes, 104 homicides, and 12,928 assaults. Pittsburgh is still one of the safest cities in the U.S. Now isn't the time to rest though - especially with two of the most violent crimes on the rise. If we act now, we can help reverse the trend and make Pittsburgh even safer.

This is why Phase 3 Productions is proudly producing our Season of Violence. It's not going to be a season of summer blockbusters with exploding sets and ninja fights. Instead, expect riviting theatre that explores the causes and effects of real violence on real people. It will be entertaing, it will be compeling, and it will challenge us and our audiences.

Check back here often. We're going to announce our season and our partner organization soon. We're tackling more exciting projects this season, and you won't want to miss it.
